Open
Enrollment Periods
(Current year Open Enrollment is September
07th - September 16, 2011)
Kick Off Date - Wednesday, September 07th (for
questions and enrollment information)
Each year (around the beginning of September),
we designate an Open Enrollment Period that affords
employees the opportunity to re-elect benefits
or make changes to their existing benefits (due
to possible changes renegotiated each year with
current and recommended carriers). This period
also allows those who had not previously elected
coverage to do so for themselves and any eligible
dependents.

What
are Discretionary Benefits?
Those benefits which you can choose to enroll
in for yourself and/or your eligible dependents,
i.e. Healthcare, Dental, 403B, Life Insurance,
Flex Plan, 403B, etc. (as opposed to mandated).
For purposes of benefit administration, we also
consider Group Life Insurance to be a "discretionary"
benefit. In addition to these discretionary benefits,
all regular employees earn vacation, sick time
benefits and holiday benefits.
Note:
Again, on-call employees are not eligible for
benefits, other than those mandated benefits (i.e.
social security, SDI, Unemployment, Worker's Compensation,
etc.) which all employees receive.
