  LIVE IT

New Haven provides a safe, supportive structured home living environment where adolescent boys with special needs are valued and given hope for a better future.

Our home based model emphasizes life skills development in addition to providing instruction in social skills development, substance abuse prevention and anger management.

Our program features an integrated, comprehensive program for youth consisting of:

  • Weekly Individual, Group and Family Therapy provided by experienced licensed therapists.
  • Therapeutic Recreation to include Adventure Activities, Intellectual Outings, Athletic, and Leisure Skills.
  • Daily Living in a home with no more than 6 residents. Each youth is supervised and supported 24 hours per day by trained staff with a 3 to 1 Resident to Staff Ratio. Overnight staff remains awake throughout the night insuring round the clock supervision and care.
  • Thirty Day Multi-Disciplinary Assessment of youth and families needs and desires, and development of an Individualized Service Plan.
  • Multidisciplinary Treatment Team to include Family, Licensed Therapist, Program Specialist, Special Education Teacher, Psychiatrist, and Medical Services Coordinator.
  • A Treatment Model which integrates the precepts of Re-Education, Reclaiming Youth, and research in Resiliency.
  • A Comprehensive Psycho-Educational Program addressing life-span developmental issues of adolescents including identity, values, individuation, and peer pressure.

Through our safe, caring, and structured environment, these young men develop the emotional tools and living skills to assist them in being able to successfully build their futures and to transition successfully out of residential care, as productive members of our communities.
