Haven provides a safe, supportive structured home
living environment where adolescent boys with special
needs are valued and given hope for a better future.
Our
home based model emphasizes life skills development
in addition to providing instruction in social
skills development, substance abuse prevention
and anger management.
Our
program features an integrated, comprehensive
program for youth consisting of:
- Weekly
Individual, Group and Family Therapy
provided by experienced licensed therapists.
- Therapeutic
Recreation to include Adventure Activities,
Intellectual Outings, Athletic, and Leisure
Skills.
- Daily
Living in a home with no more than 6 residents.
Each youth is supervised and supported 24 hours
per day by trained staff with a 3 to 1 Resident
to Staff Ratio.
Overnight staff remains awake throughout the
night insuring round the clock supervision and
care.
- Thirty
Day Multi-Disciplinary Assessment of youth
and families needs and desires, and development
of an Individualized Service Plan.
- Multidisciplinary
Treatment Team to include Family, Licensed
Therapist, Program Specialist, Special Education
Teacher, Psychiatrist, and Medical Services
Coordinator.
- A
Treatment Model which integrates the precepts
of Re-Education, Reclaiming Youth, and
research in Resiliency.
- A
Comprehensive Psycho-Educational Program
addressing life-span developmental issues of
adolescents including identity, values, individuation,
and peer pressure.
Through
our safe, caring, and structured environment,
these young men develop the emotional tools and
living skills to assist them in being able to
successfully build their futures and to transition
successfully out of residential care, as productive
members of our communities.
